Hexi New Town has set a new standard in the allocation of educational resources. Students need to walk no more than 1,000 m to go to middle school, and 500 m to primary school. High-level schools such as Jinling Middle School have set up a branch in the town and are already taking in students.

Construction of more schools is also under way. Sixty primary educational facilities are planned to build in Hexi New Town. Of which, there are 12 high schools, 18 elementary schools and 30 nursery schools. Including exiting educational facilities, 88 schools will be settled down in Hexi New Town.

Covering 160,000 sq m, the school has a construction area of 110,000 sq m and involved an investment of 250 million Yuan. The campus has four teaching buildings with 80 classrooms, 52 laboratories, nine large meeting halls and step classrooms, 14 computer classrooms, 3,400 sq m of art class rooms, 400 m of plastic tracks, a 6,800 - sq m sports stadium, and eight basketball courts. The school also has TV-control center, and Internet and video centers. Now, it has some 3,800 students on the rolls, with 350 teachers and staff members.
